The Community Hall’s Kids’ Room is the central hub of activities for children aged 0 to 5 and their parents in Field. The room itself is beautifully equipped with a wide range of toys, books, craft items, and dress-up clothes. It is divided into several welcoming play spaces, a snack/craft area, and comfy sofas for parents.
Playgroup meets twice weekly. Playgroup also hosts special guests such as Mother Goose and Outdoor Fun with Jane Powell. Other equipment available through the Kids’ Room includes snowshoes, skates, downhill skis/boots, t-ball, and various outdoor games geared to the under-five age group. Field trips and other activities organized and funded for the under fives on a seasonal basis include trail rides, gondola rides, downhill ski lessons, skate lessons, swimming, gymnastics, dance classes, climbing, and t-ball.
The Kids’ Room is also open to all children during most community events with supervision provided by parents on a voluntary basis (1/2 hour shifts throughout the event). We are always seeking new opportunities to enrich the lives of our little ones and welcome new ideas and initiatives for the Kids’ Room and associated programs!
